The ProPlex BuckBoost™ Drive System implements a unique, patent-pending technology that substantially overcomes the cable length challenges of low voltage LED lighting, especially LED “neons” and tapes. This revolutionary system allows centralized and remote location of drives, mains power and PSU’s. The full 200W output power is maintained at lengths up to 100M, with maximum power proportionately reducing at longer lengths (see cut sheet table) while all other performance features are maintained. The proprietary BuckBoost drive signal is carried over a small cable, sized equivalent to a mic cable, from a remote BoostBox™ to a small inconspicuous BuckBox™ located adjacent to the fixture.

SmartFade™

BuckBoost Drive Systems incorporate ProPlex proprietary SmartFade™ dimming.

A unique industry-leading high resolution dimming technology providing 16-bit performance with 8-bit control. Minimizes control budgets, while maintaining high resolution performance.

SmartFade features include:

• Instant response times. Smooth, linear fades, 100% to zero

• Gamma correction

• Variable PWM frequency – 300 to 40,000 Hz. Lower frequencies will drive LEDs with built-in active drivers while higher frequencies allow flicker-free high-speed filming

• Seamless control of all 12 and 24V Pixelated, One Color and Color Changing Tapes and Neons, including 6-wire -GBWW

• Compact, inconspicuous BuckBoxes – IP67 architectural, and IP65 portable versions

• BoostBox units include DMX and dual Ethernet control connections – versatile connectivity for any project scale

• SingleProPlex® PowerData 2+2 Cable to each BuckBox
